Maddy

I started at Access Group in July 2023. I got the job through a referral; someone I knew who already worked for the company. I'm now a Sales Development Representative (SDR) at Access Group in Loughborough.

I was at college before I worked at Access, which is where I found out about the organisation. I liked the sound of everything they did so much, I wanted to drop out of college immediately to work for them. Access Group then came back to me and were like, "Listen, we'd really like you to work here, your personality fits perfectly, but education is so important, you should stay and finish your course." So, I did, knowing I had the job at Access Group to come into when I was finished. It's one of the things about the company that's so great - they value their employees above and beyond their immediate utility, thinking about their futures in a rounded sort of a way. I was very keen to work here though, right when I finished my college. I sat my final exams on the Monday and was in the assessment centre here on the Friday! I was very much like, "Right, this is it, let's do this!"

I love the job; I feel very suited to the environment here. My plan is to stay here long- term, build my career at the company. I won the SDR of the month award recently. My team leader nominated me for it and then what happens after you're nominated is that it goes out to a vote of all the SDRs. And they voted for me, for which I'm grateful. I got a trophy out of it, which is nice.
